On the 10th, the 3rd Macau Youth National Conditions Study Activity, "Big Hands Hold Small Hands, Silk Road Together", jointly organized by the United Front Work Department of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, the Gansu Overseas Friendship Association, and the Macau Gansu Friendship Association, was officially launched in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. More than 40 teachers and students from 7 schools including Pui Ching Middle School and Jingping School in Macau participated in this event. At the launch ceremony, Macau Legislative Council member and head of the study tour group, Gao Jinhui, expressed the hope that through the study tour activities, Macau youth can personally step into the magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland, touch the long history pulse of the Chinese nation, and become inheritors and disseminators of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Yu Yongmei, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, introduced the profound history and culture of Gansu and the arrangement of this study activity. She hopes that through this study tour, students can establish their aspirations for rejuvenation, develop useful talents, and build a bridge of communication. She also hopes that the Macao Gansu Friendship Association will continue to play an active role, maintain close ties, deepen cooperation and exchanges, and jointly build a broader platform for promoting exchanges and strengthening patriotic education among young people in Hong Kong and Macao. Guo Wenhui, a teacher from Taipa Fong School in Macau, said that this study tour is themed around "Walking Classroom," "Civilized Dialogue," and "Spiritual Growth." She hopes that students can not only learn knowledge and broaden their horizons, but also learn to think, be tolerant, and take responsibility, turning the gains of their trip to Gansu into nutrients for growth and contributing their youthful strength to the construction of the motherland. Two Macau students, Xu Liying and Ma Chenyu, shared their expectations for this study abroad activity, stating that they will cherish this rare opportunity, with respect for history and enthusiasm for learning, to understand the excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance mutual friendship, and integrate their personal youthful ideals into the magnificent journey of our motherland's development. It is reported that the study tour group will also go to Huining County, Pingliang City, Qingyang City and other places in Baiyin City to carry out 7-day themed classes, practical experiences, social networking, learning sharing and other activities.
