The single row speed is 453 kilometers per hour and the relative rendezvous speed is 896 kilometers per hour, which is the latest record set by the CR450 high-speed train prototype during the test period recently. The reporter learned from China Railway Group that since the prototype was produced at the end of last year, the CR450 high-speed train has undergone multiple rounds of testing and successfully reached a speed of 450 kilometers per hour with all indicators qualified. The CR450 high-speed train is currently undergoing operational assessment on the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu high-speed railway, and is required to run 600000 kilometers as required to evaluate the stability and reliability of the entire train and its various systems. In the experiment, the CR450 high-speed train accelerated from a standstill to a speed of 350 kilometers per hour in just 4 minutes and 40 seconds, which is 100 seconds faster than the CR400 high-speed train. Zhao Hongwei, Chief Researcher of China Academy of Railway Sciences, introduced that the permanent magnet traction system used in CR450 high-speed trains has a 4% increase in efficiency and stronger power compared to CR400 high-speed trains. At the same time, the CR450 high-speed train has fully covered the bogie area, with lower skirts and fewer exposed wheels; The height of the high-speed train has been reduced by 200 millimeters, the front of the train has been extended to 15 meters, and the end connections have been optimized and adjusted. Compared to the CR400 high-speed train, the CR450 high-speed train has a 22% reduction in overall resistance. The relevant person in charge of China Academy of Railway Sciences introduced that the CR450 high-speed train will undergo comprehensive testing closer to actual operation on the Chengdu Chongqing Middle Line of the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu high-speed railway next year.
