Recently, the first Beijing Radio, Film and Television Spring Swallow Award selection and commendation press conference was held in Beijing. This year's Spring Swallow Award is jointly organized by the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The scope of this award includes 8 categories: TV dramas (including web dramas), movies, documentaries, animated films, radio and television programs, online audio-visual and artistic programs, online movies, public service advertisements, and technology applications that are broadcasted for the first time in cinemas, TV stations, or licensed online audio-visual platforms from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2023. A total of 1027 works have been collected and 289 individuals have applied for them. In the end, 65 works including "Bloodshed Nameless · Running", "Musician", "On the Cliff", "One Hundred Years of Journey", "Farming Bar", and "2023 Beijing Cultural Forum Art Evening Gala" won the comprehensive award. 53 people including Zhao Yi, the photography director of "Dialogue: Deep Taihang", and Wang Lei, the special effects director of "Beijing 2022", won individual awards. Among them, the proportion of online audiovisual works has exceeded 30%, becoming the biggest highlight of this year's award ceremony. Leng Song, Director of the Audiovisual Research Office at the Institute of Journalism, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, stated that Beijing has established a complete closed-loop system through precise policy drip irrigation, financial support, and one-stop filming services, which includes policies promoting ecology, ecology attracting creativity, creating high-quality achievements, and quality feedback for the industry. This has injected sustained momentum into the construction of the national cultural center. The selection results press conference is themed around "Policy Ecology Creation Boutique" and divided into three major chapters: "Spring Blossoms", "Spring Tides Surge", and "Spring Blossoms and Autumn Fruits". More than 20 creative representatives took the stage one after another to share their creative experiences. Professors Hou Guangming and Sun Lijun from the Beijing Film Academy, as well as representatives of the judging panel including Wang Yichuan, Chairman of the Theoretical Review Committee of the China Television Artists Association, provided on-site comments and believed that the award-winning works "not only have a good reputation, but also can withstand the market", providing a replicable and promotable "Beijing sample" for the industry. The head of the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau stated that the next step will be to deepen the "Beijing Great Audiovisual" brand through the Spring Swallow Award, strengthen policy guidance, optimize the creative ecosystem, build a communication platform, and promote the emergence of more high-quality works.
