On October 29th, the 5th China Africa Peace and Security Forum Military Medicine Special Meeting came to an end in Beijing. During the conference, military health department leaders and medical experts from over 20 countries in China and Africa gathered together to discuss the path of innovative development in military medicine, build consensus on cooperation, and contribute to the construction of a 24/7 China Africa community with a shared future in the new era. Currently, the new round of technological revolution profoundly affects the progress of human society, and the international security situation is becoming increasingly complex, with traditional and non-traditional security threats intertwined and overlapping. In this context, the importance of working together to plan the future blueprint for military medical cooperation between China and Africa is increasingly prominent. Xie Jianwei, a researcher at the Military Medical Research Institute of the Academy of Military Sciences, said, "Through this conference, we have had in-depth exchanges with our African counterparts, jointly assessed the new challenges and opportunities faced by the world and regions in the fields of public health security and military medical support, and clarified the key directions and implementation paths of China Africa military medical cooperation." This conference has provided a high-level exchange platform for China Africa military medical cooperation through various forms such as academic reports, special seminars, and technical exhibitions. Liu Wei, a researcher at the Military Medical Research Institute of the Academy of Military Sciences, pointed out that diseases have no borders, and effective defense systems must also cross national borders. This conference brings together all parties to explore how to strengthen the capacity building of the public health system through international cooperation. This is not only a medical issue, but also related to global stability and public health security. Ndapandula Jacob, the Health Director of the Namibian Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs, stated that the agenda of this meeting is closely related to the actual needs of African countries, and multiple academic reports have greatly benefited her. She specifically mentioned that the report by Chinese experts on innovative technologies and application transformation for war trauma treatment is rich and practical, showcasing the medical innovation achievements of the Chinese military. Over the years, China and Africa have learned from each other in joint exercises and training, international humanitarian aid, personnel training, and other areas, setting an example for international medical cooperation. 'Cooperation' and 'common development' have become high-frequency words in this conference. As a witness to military medical cooperation between China and Africa, Gneet Yima Tadesse, the medical director of the Ethiopian Defense Forces General Hospital, studied for two years at the Southwest Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Army Military Medical University. Not only did he master advanced medical technology, but he also formed deep friendships with his Chinese counterparts. This conference is a vivid manifestation of deepening military medical exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa, and is of great significance for promoting world peace and progress. ”Sierra Leone Defense Medical Director Ibrahim Bobfanggewo Kai Samba said. China sent its first non-medical support team to Algeria in 1963, making unremitting efforts to improve our medical and health conditions. This history has deeply moved me. ”Benfica Aisa, Director of the Scientific Research Department of the Central Medical Bureau of the Algerian Army, said, "Although China and Africa are thousands of miles apart, the people of both sides share the same feelings." Jean Marcel Mangi Lawson, Director of the General Health Service of Gabon's Armed Forces, said, "China has long helped African countries cope with epidemics and build public health systems, and has promoted the construction of a new era all-weather China Africa community with a shared future through practical actions. We believe that with this meeting as an opportunity, cooperation between China and Africa in the field of military medicine will be more extensive and in-depth
