The 15th National Esperanto Conference was held from October 31st to November 2nd at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Over 200 Esperanto speakers gathered here. Experts believe that in the new era, Esperanto has broader development space and should continuously expand its application fields, strengthen association construction, and make new and greater contributions to enhancing the dissemination and influence of Chinese civilization and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. The theme of this conference is "The beginning, the future, exchanges and cooperation - contribute Esperanto to Chinese path to modernization and a community with a shared future for mankind", including acquaintance evening party, book exhibition, special group meeting, teaching seminar, training of young and middle-aged Esperanto backbone, etc. Under the guidance of the China Foreign Languages Bureau, the All China Esperanto Association and the Asia Pacific Communication Center of the China Foreign Languages Bureau co sponsored by the Foreign Languages Publishing House and the Shanxi Esperanto Association. Esperanto is an artificial language created by Polish doctor Dr. Zamenhof in 1887 based on the Indo European language family, with the aim of enabling equal and barrier free communication for all humanity. It is widely used in various fields and is one of the most widely used international auxiliary languages internationally. Associate Professor Wang Disheng from the School of Pharmacy, Bengbu Medical University, Anhui Province, brought his original Chinese medicine treatise "The Root of Health Care for Human Life" in Esperanto, which he had written for 10 years, to the venue to encourage Esperanto speakers in the medical field to produce more good books and promote Chinese medicine culture to the world. This book is sold at the Esperanto Bookstore at the headquarters of the Dutch International Esperanto Association. My next plan is to convert it into an electronic version and spread Chinese culture more widely through the internet, "said 68 year old Wang Disheng. The series of books on Chinese cultural research and dissemination published by Zaozhuang Academy in Esperanto, including Mozi, Mencius, Zhuangzi, etc., also came to the Esperanto themed book fair "Understanding Chinese Civilization and Mutual Learning" established at this conference. The Esperanto Museum of Zaozhuang College houses 65000 collections from over 60 countries and regions, including 13000 books. At the book fair, foreign friends also specially came to the conference site to 'wash away books'. Esperanto is relatively inclusive, with strong language flexibility, and can translate anything that is difficult to translate. ”Sun Mingxiao, Executive Director of the All China Esperanto Association and Expert in the Construction of the Esperanto Museum at Zaozhuang University, said. Attracted by the charm of Esperanto, "00s" girl Long Yunxia has been persistently studying. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Esperanto from Zaozhuang College, she pursued a master's degree in Esperanto at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland. She now returns to Zaozhuang College to teach Esperanto and has collaborated with colleagues to translate and publish books such as "The Silk Road (Esperanto)". Although there are not many people who speak Esperanto, it involves a wide range of countries. Using Esperanto as a 'bridge' can reach many countries and achieve the effect of re translation and re dissemination. ”Long Yunxia said. (New Society)
