The 'supermoon' hangs in the ancient capital's night sky

2025-11-06

On November 5th, as the sunset sets and night falls, the largest "supermoon" of the year appears in the night sky. According to astronomers' predictions, around 21:19 on November 5th, the moon will appear in its most perfect circle. Nine hours later, at 6:27 on November 6th, the moon will be too close to Earth, about 357000 kilometers away, making it the closest full moon to Earth in 2025. Therefore, the moon on the evening of November 5th will be the largest full moon of the year, commonly known as the "supermoon". (New Society)
