While digital technology weaves convenience, it also hides new crises. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, some individuals with ulterior motives have begun to use AI tools to create and spread false information. The harm of AI rumors has become prominent, from fabricating hot topics and celebrity statements, to fabricating pseudoscience and grafting false evidence. Recently, the cybersecurity department in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, seized an illegal case of using AI to generate and spread online rumors in bulk. Typical case discovery: Recently, the cybersecurity department in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province discovered that multiple accounts on a certain online platform had posted information about corporal punishment of students in a middle school in the city at intervals of 20-50 minutes, and the information content was completely consistent. After investigation and tracing, it was found that the events mentioned in the online information were fabricated by "transplanting flowers and trees", and the content of the related posts is false rumor information. The network security department of Xi'an Public Security Bureau immediately launched a rumor crackdown and quickly identified the MCN institution involved. After investigation, Pan Moule was found to be the actual operator of the MCN organization, who controlled a total of 100 online accounts, all of which were purchased by himself online for the operation of self media on a certain online platform. Pan Moule, in order to earn rebates, used AI tools to wash and publish articles in batches on a certain online platform, which led to the spread of rumors and sparked a large number of netizens' attention and discussion. Currently, the public security organs have imposed administrative penalties on Pan Moule in accordance with the law. The improvement of internet police technology began with you and me. The internet is not a lawless place. Let us use rationality to control AI, protect the bottom line with the law, and work together to spread positive energy. The public security organs will continue to intensify the crackdown and rectification of online rumors, encourage netizens to report illegal clues of online rumors through various channels in a timely manner, and jointly safeguard a clean and upright online environment.
