The reporter learned from the 8th National Criminal Trial Work Conference held today that from 2020 to 2024, the national courts have concluded 243000 cases of serious violent crimes such as intentional homicide, a decrease of 6.75% compared to the previous five-year period. Among them, the number of cases of intentional homicide, robbery, kidnapping, arson, explosion, and release of hazardous substances has decreased from over 40000 in 2015 to less than 16000 in 2024. From 2020 to 2024, 827000 cases of "two robberies and one theft" were concluded by courts nationwide, a decrease of 33.26% compared to the previous five-year period; 230000 drug-related crimes were concluded, a decrease of 58.5% compared to the previous five-year period. Data shows that from 2020 to 2024, courts at all levels have concluded nearly 90000 cases of financial crimes such as illegal fundraising, money laundering, and insider trading, a decrease of 15.51% compared to the previous five-year period; Strengthen the criminal judicial protection of intellectual property rights and conclude 33000 related cases. Properly handle historical cases involving enterprise property rights in accordance with the law, correct 194 wrongful cases involving 313 individuals, and ensure equal protection in accordance with the law; Punish crimes that damage the ecological environment and resources, resolve 154000 related cases, and promote the creation of a green development highland.
