On November 12, 2025, Datuk Wong Kwok Fai, Overseas Committee Member of the All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Executive Vice President of the Sarawak China Friendship Association, and leader of the Malaysian Kuching Education and Culture Delegation, visited Liwan District, Guangzhou to conduct research and cultural exchange activities. The delegation visited the Liwan Museum (Liwan Overseas Chinese Exhibition Hall), Yongqing Fang China Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base, and Cantonese Opera Art Museum to fully appreciate the historical heritage and cultural charm of Liwan as an important birthplace of Lingnan culture. The delegation visited the Yongqing Fang China Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base and had a deep understanding of the inheritance of traditional intangible cultural heritage such as Xiangyun yarn dyeing and finishing techniques and Song Dynasty tea picking during the intangible cultural heritage experience. Under the on-site guidance of Huang Jianhong, a representative inheritor of Guangzhou Tea Art (Tea Picking Techniques) and a standing committee member of the Liwan District Overseas Chinese Federation, the delegation personally participated in tea making and intuitively felt the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture. Subsequently, Bu Zhiqun, Chairman of the Liwan District Overseas Chinese Federation, and Datuk Huang Guohui conducted in-depth discussions on strengthening educational and cultural exchanges, talent export cooperation, and other issues between the two regions. They also presented banners and books such as "Liwan Memory" and "Huaxia - Lipan Fang Overseas Chinese Connection in Five Continents" to the delegation.
