How can express delivery outlets connect the "last mile" of delivery?

Unmanned vehicles loaded with express delivery are galloping far away, drones carrying fresh food fly over mountains, light rail cars loaded with goods rush to the destination... Recently, reporters followed the National Post Bureau interview team to visit Zhongtong Express Delivery Network in Tonglu County, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Jinhua Postal Branch, and Jinhua Rail Transit Building takeoff and landing points, and found that unmanned technology is penetrating and empowering various fields of the economy and society at an unprecedented speed, providing strong impetus for the development of low altitude economy in Zhejiang Province, allowing express delivery to be delivered to thousands of households more efficiently and accurately. On November 18th, at the Tonglu County branch of Zhongtong Express, the reporter saw that after the operators filled the unmanned vehicles with parcels, they could simply operate them on their mobile phones to start the unmanned vehicles and drive them to the express station. Zhongtong Express Tonglu County Branch is one of the core hubs of the local express logistics network, covering the entire Tonglu area, with a daily average of 60000 inbound and outbound express shipments. At present, the automated sorting system of the branch is equipped with 231 intelligent sorting gates, with a daily processing capacity of 100000 orders. Efficient sorting is achieved through technologies such as laser scanning and AI sorting. In terms of unmanned delivery, the branch has 8 unmanned delivery vehicles, more than 2000 unmanned express cabinets deployed simultaneously, and more than 50 large and small transport vehicles, achieving unmanned coverage of the "last mile". The network integrates "intelligent cloud warehouse" resources and achieves precise inventory management and automatic order allocation through digital systems. In the past, we used drivers to transport packages, with a driver's salary of about 7000 yuan per month and fuel costs of about 50 yuan per day. After using the Neolithic unmanned vehicle, the shipping cost per trip is only 15 yuan, greatly reducing operating costs. ”Tang Rong, the manager of Zhongtong Tonglu branch, told reporters, "Compared to manual delivery, unmanned vehicles can transport express delivery anytime and anywhere, even if the warehouse is not full. Moreover, unmanned vehicles can go to multiple branches for scanning at once, solving the burden of drivers having to drive to deliver goods and send scanning packages." In addition to reducing costs and easing the burden on freight drivers, the use of unmanned vehicles for delivery can also free up express delivery drivers and put them on the "last mile" of delivery. Since the introduction of unmanned vehicles, the efficiency of delivery has been continuously improved. Delivery packages can be delivered by unmanned vehicles to express stations, and then delivered to the doorstep by couriers, reducing some of the workload of delivery personnel and opening up the 'last mile' of express delivery, "said Tang Rong. On November 19th, the reporter and his team went to Jinhua Postal Branch for an on-site visit to give wings to express delivery into the village. The reporter learned that Panqian Village in Jinhua City is located at the top of the North Mountain in Jinhua, with an altitude of about 1300 meters. Previously, the village relied on automobile postal routes for external logistics, with one-way transportation taking one and a half hours. During the cold winter weather, it often implemented closed management, seriously affecting the daily lives of villagers in mountainous areas. To solve the problem of the 'last mile' of rural delivery, we have started using drone postal routes. Currently equipped with medium-sized ternary lithium transport drones and two hydrogen powered drones. The delivery time has been reduced from the initial 1.5 hours to the current 15 minutes, and it can be delivered to the hands of the villagers. ”Chen Fan, Deputy Manager of the Operations Management Department of Jinhua Postal Branch, said. In order to effectively solve the problem of postal transportation for mountainous areas and further improve services, Jinhua Postal Branch has also launched a targeted "emergency items on arrival and flight" service. A simple post station has been set up in Panqian Village, and waiting items receiving cabinets have been equipped in the fruit market. Standardized flight handover procedures and assessment standards have been formulated to ensure efficient and controllable service delivery throughout the process. Under the guidance of the Jinhua Postal Administration, the Jinhua Postal Branch has established a comprehensive low altitude logistics infrastructure system. Jinhua Postal Branch has obtained the first "Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operation Certificate" issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China within the national postal system, demonstrating professional operational capabilities. As of now, three batches of route applications have been approved, with 16 serial routes covering 40 takeoff and landing points, a total of 500 flights, and carrying over 10000 kilograms of cargo. Two of these routes have achieved normal operation and become the core carrier for empowering people's livelihoods and industries. At 11:55 am on November 19th, a drone carrying fresh fruits purchased by citizens in the "Jinyou Selection" live broadcast room of Jinhua Post took off from the fruit market and arrived at the take-off and landing point of the rail transit building at 12:15 pm, creating a new pattern of low altitude economy through light rail intermodal transportation; At the take-off and landing point, there are dedicated light rail staff waiting for loading and unloading of goods. After security checks, fresh goods are transferred to light rail cars and transported to the light rail station in the comprehensive bonded zone. Handed over by the staff to the unmanned vehicle of Jinhua Post, and then transported to the Xiaoshun Express delivery outlet for final delivery, the entire process took less than an hour. The "Golden Rail Tianyi Xing" logistics line is jointly operated by Jinhua Rail Transit Group and the Municipal Postal Company, and is the first regularly operated "rail+low altitude" logistics route in Zhejiang Province. In response to the transportation demand for fresh products that prioritize freshness, this route has established an efficient distribution system throughout the entire chain. Compared with the traditional "road transportation - same city center distribution - collection and delivery department" model, this intermodal transportation model improves the delivery time by more than 50%, and stably realizes the efficient delivery service of fresh fruits and agricultural products in the same city with "morning ordering and noon delivery". In addition to normalized flight routes, the local area is actively expanding the diverse application scenarios of drones: the Lanxi Yangmei special line solves the problem of fresh fruit descending the mountain, the mountainous area of Langya Town in Wucheng District completes the airdrop of firefighting supplies, and plays an important role in activities such as school sports games, achieving a "double harvest" of economic and social value. In the multimodal transportation system of "low altitude short haul+rail distribution+high-speed rail trunk line" built in Jinhua City, rail transit undertakes long-distance trunk transportation, and drones are responsible for seamless connection of end delivery, effectively shortening delivery time, improving coverage and punctuality. To contribute greater strength to the high-quality development of the low altitude economy in serving rural revitalization, empowering the real economy, and meeting people's aspirations for a better life.
