On December 3, 2025, at the construction site of Chaoma Intercity Railway in Dangtu County, Ma'anshan, Anhui Province, the domestically produced WZ500 track laying machine laid the last pair of 500 meter seamless steel rails in place, marking the completion of track connection for the main channel bridge of Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge of Chaoma Intercity Railway and significant progress in track laying for the entire line. The Chaoma Intercity Railway starts from Chaohu East Station in the north and ends at Ma'anshan East Station in the south, with a total length of about 61 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has 5 stations. The domestically produced track laying machine used in this project has high control accuracy and fast laying efficiency. It is expected that the entire track laying task will be completed by January 2026. (New Society)
