After overnight vote counting, all 40 members elected by the Election Committee, 30 members elected by functional constituencies, and 20 members directly elected by districts were elected. On the morning of the 8th, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Electoral Affairs Commission, Lu Qikang, expressed encouragement for citizens to come out and vote.
