On December 6th, the "Poetry Heart in Wonders - Zhang Wenbing Ceramic Art Exhibition" opened at the China National Arts and Crafts Museum (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum). This exhibition is hosted by the Shanghai Chinese Ceramic Artists Association and others, showcasing the aesthetic exploration and creative practice of ceramic artist Zhang Wenbing through 100 works, reflecting the vitality of integrating Chinese ceramic art into contemporary cultural scenes. At the exhibition site, porcelain and porcelain paintings created with porcelain and comprehensive decorative materials are displayed. The patterns mainly feature flowers such as lotus and peony, which are fresh and elegant, with rich decorative meanings. This reflects the artist's understanding of ceramic materials and decorative techniques, as well as their adherence to Eastern aesthetic interests. Zhang Wenbing (1966-2014) was a professor at Jingdezhen Ceramic University. He dedicated himself to activating the charm of handicrafts in the industrial era and forming an artistic style that combines traditional heritage and modernity. The curator of this exhibition and the president of the Shanghai Chinese Ceramic Artists Association, Chen Haibo, said that Zhang Wenbing is not only an educator, but also an art practitioner who deeply cultivates tradition and is brave in innovation. He hopes that through this exhibition, the audience can gain a deeper understanding of Zhang Wenbing's artistic world and feel the poetry and power in his works. (New Society)
