The Hong Kong Professional Services Overseas Platform, initiated by the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and supported by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, was officially launched on the 13th, marking a new stage in Hong Kong's collaborative support for mainland enterprises to go overseas. On the opening ceremony, Zhang Guojun, Deputy Secretary for Justice of the Special Administrative Region Government, stated that this year's policy address proposes that Hong Kong should play a role as a platform for going global, assist more enterprises to use the Hong Kong platform to go global, create more business opportunities and economic value for Hong Kong, and make unique contributions to the country under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. He said that in order for a company to successfully go global, it must have high-level professional services such as legal, financial, and accounting support. Hong Kong's professional services have an international perspective, the ability to meet international standards, and a deep understanding of Chinese and foreign cultures, which can provide comprehensive professional support for mainland enterprises. Many domestic enterprises have expressed a strong desire to "borrow Hong Kong to go abroad" after the establishment of the Mainland Enterprise Overseas Special Class by the Commerce and Economic Bureau. The establishment of the professional service platform aims to work with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to build a broader and deeper cross sector professional service platform, allowing enterprises to obtain customized experiences. The platform will integrate professional service information from Hong Kong, including successful cases of supporting domestic enterprises to go global for reference, and release a list of relevant professional sectors to support going global, facilitating accurate integration between domestic enterprises and Hong Kong professional services. The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Special Administrative Region Government, Qiu Yinghua, stated that as a "super contact" and "super value-added person" for internal and external communication, Hong Kong has unique advantages in assisting mainland enterprises in developing overseas business and addressing potential challenges and difficulties in the process of going global, such as cross-border fund management, risk management, laws and regulations, cultural differences, talent recruitment, etc. The first edition of "Record of Successful Cases of Hong Kong Professional Services Assisting Mainland Chinese Enterprises in Going Global" was also released at the same time, which includes over 50 successful cases of going global, covering different professional fields, industries, and investment locations.
