The Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government launched the "Technology Talent Immigration Scheme" on the 24th to further optimize measures, in order to facilitate qualified companies to attract global innovation and technology talents, carry out research and development activities in the field of technology, and promote innovation and technological development in Hong Kong. Optimization measures include: streamlining the application process, allowing technology companies and qualified talents to submit quota and visa/entry permit applications simultaneously; Exemption from the restriction of engaging in research and development activities in 14 designated technological fields to better adapt to the rapidly changing development of innovation and science; Add a dedicated application window service in the Hong Kong Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, providing one-stop assistance and follow-up for park tenants and incubation companies' applications. The Special Administrative Region government launched the "Technology Talent Immigration Scheme" in 2018, which implements rapid processing arrangements for the import of overseas and mainland technology talents, and companies that successfully apply are granted talent quotas. The Hong Kong Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park officially opened on the 22nd. The park will adopt a development model of "scientific research plus pilot testing", focusing on cutting-edge technology fields such as life and health technology, artificial intelligence and robotics, new energy, and high-end intelligent manufacturing.
