The first Qatar China Film Festival opened on the 22nd at the Katara Cultural Village Cinema in Doha, Qatar. More than a hundred guests from the film and television industry, business community, and academia of China and Kazakhstan attended the event. The Chinese guest said in their speech that the opening of the first Qatar China Film Festival symbolizes a new stage of cultural exchange between China and Qatar in the film industry. This time, we have specially selected five excellent Chinese films for Qatari audiences, and sincerely invite Qatari excellent films to enter China. We look forward to the cooperation between filmmakers from both countries. Lala Mohammed, Director of the International Exchange Department of the Sheikh Hamad Translation and International Understanding Award, stated in her speech that movies are an important carrier for promoting dialogue among civilizations and enhancing mutual understanding. Welcome more Chinese films to Qatar, and we look forward to promoting practical cooperation between the two countries in film co production, talent cultivation, and other areas, jointly creating outstanding works that touch people's hearts, and further deepening cultural exchanges and friendly relations between the two countries. This event is hosted by the National Film Administration of China, organized by the China Film Archive, and co organized by Wisdom Palace International Cultural Communication Group Co., Ltd. The film festival will last for 3 days, and in addition to the opening film "Detective Tang 1900", many excellent Chinese films such as "Flying Life 2", "Passionate", "Lion Boy 2", "Decryption" will also be screened one after another.
