Only an army that is brave enough to forge its own revolution and immerse itself in fire can be invincible and constantly move from victory to victory. On December 25th, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting to listen to the work report of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, and to study and deploy the construction of party conduct, clean governance, and anti-corruption work in 2026. The meeting emphasized the unwavering promotion of the fight against corruption. At the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping pointed out: "We must always maintain a high-pressure anti-corruption situation, investigate and deal with corruption cases in accordance with the law and regulations, and punish corrupt elements severely. We must never stop or give up, and we must not let corrupt elements have any hiding places. No one should harbor any illusions or illusions." The People's Army does not tolerate corruption, and the mighty and civilized army must not be defiled. We must unify our thoughts and actions with the major decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping, deeply understand the general trend that the more anti-corruption the military is, the stronger, purer, and more combat effective it is, see the new positive atmosphere brought by political rectification and anti-corruption, strengthen our confidence and determination in the victory of anti-corruption and justice, and resolutely carry out the anti-corruption struggle to the end. History is the best textbook and also the best sobering agent. Regardless of ancient or modern times, both domestically and internationally, the military serves as the cornerstone of national security and the cornerstone of defending sovereignty. If corruption is allowed to breed and spread, gun barrels will rust and the cornerstone will collapse, and the long-term stability of the country cannot be guaranteed. Looking back at history, many armies with outstanding military achievements have not been defeated by powerful opponents, but their combat effectiveness has been eroded by corruption. The lesson warns us that the military is first and foremost a combat team, experiencing the test of blood and fire. They exist for the sake of war and march towards it. Tolerating corruption is equivalent to tolerating defeat, and what they bring to the country and the people can only be disaster. Our army is an armed group that carries out the political tasks of the Party, and serving the people wholeheartedly is the fundamental purpose of the people's army. The reason why our army has been able to overcome various unimaginable difficulties and become an invincible force from small to large, from weak to strong, is that the barrel of the gun has always been in the hands of reliable people loyal to the Party, always listening to the Party's words and following the Party; It lies in always putting the interests of the people above everything else, rejecting corruption and never getting involved; It lies in always carrying the mission and responsibility on our shoulders, fighting for national independence, people's liberation, and national security, and writing a bold loyalty with practical actions. History has fully proven that it is precisely because we persist in carrying out revolutionary political forging, resolutely eliminating all factors that affect the Party's absolute leadership over the military and erode the political nature of the people's army, that the people's army maintains strong cohesion, centripetal force, and combat effectiveness, achieving the ability to fight and win when called upon. The more thoroughly hidden dangers are eliminated, the more promising the century long battle becomes. The People's Army has undergone ideological and political forging, fundamentally strengthening its unique political advantages, consolidating the great power of unity and struggle, and accumulating strong positive energy to strive for excellence in the military. Now, as we are getting closer and closer to achieving the centenary goal of building the military, it is even more urgent to return to duty and hand over qualified answers as scheduled. At the important historical juncture of building a strong and prosperous military, punishing corruption and eliminating obstacles on the road to victory, squeezing away the water of combat effectiveness construction, and stirring up the spirit of struggle and victory. The entire army must continue to deepen political training, rectify corruption, and firmly refute blindly optimistic "quick victory theory", pessimistic "hopeless theory", and "harmful theory" that cannot distinguish right from wrong with perseverance and persistence on the road, correct cognitive biases, unify ideological understanding, and strengthen the confidence and determination to achieve a comprehensive and thorough victory in rectification and anti-corruption.
