On January 4th, the 24th China Changchun Jingyuetan Vasa International Ski Festival kicked off at Jingyuetan National Forest Park in Changchun, with over 2000 athletes and enthusiasts from 33 countries and regions participating. The Vasa Ski Festival originated in Northern Europe in 1922 and is one of the largest cross-country skiing events in the world, with a history of over a hundred years. In 2003, the first "China Vasa" was held in Changchun. (New Society)
