The rule of law itself is a guiding principle. What is advocated and opposed is the style of seeking truth, pragmatism, and seeking truth from facts. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, our military has vigorously promoted the pragmatic and efficient style, pursuing efficiency, benefits, and effectiveness in everything. This pragmatic concept is also reflected in the newly revised common regulations, which reduce the burden on the grassroots and relieve the pressure on officers and soldiers in all aspects. Throughout the new regulations, a pragmatic approach runs through them. For example, regarding the signing of responsibility letters, it is stipulated that "military units should strictly control the organization of signing responsibility letters, guarantees, and other written commitments" and "if military regulations do not clearly stipulate, no hierarchical organization of signing is allowed"; Regarding registration and statistics, it is stipulated that "companies that meet the conditions for using information systems for registration and statistics, and meet the requirements for electronic file archiving, may no longer conduct paper registration and statistics with the approval of military level or above units. For example, regarding duty, it is stipulated that "units that establish combat readiness duty can merge combat readiness duty with agency duty"; Regarding meetings, it is stipulated that administrative meetings of units at or above the battalion level must "strictly control the quantity, scale, and time, strictly control repeated meetings at all levels, and reduce grassroots meetings and accompanying meetings"... The new regulations clearly define these provisions in a targeted manner, with the aim of promoting a pragmatic style, improving work efficiency, and setting a clear direction towards war. The military is meant to fight, and all work must be pragmatic, adhering to the principle of starting from reality, strengthening the practical and effective concept of actual combat, and saving time, manpower, and resource costs. It has been proven that only by reducing the burden and relieving the pressure can we boost the morale of the military, stimulate vitality, and promote the construction of combat effectiveness. The affairs of the world should be governed by reality, but not by literature. ”To promote a pragmatic style in reducing burdens, it is important to strictly enforce regulations and implement systems effectively. All levels should standardize daily work in accordance with regulations and rules, thoroughly investigate and rectify various "five excesses" that violate the requirements of regulations, and ensure that officers and soldiers focus all their energy on fighting and all their work is devoted to fighting.
