By 2025, a total of 258000 cases of telecommunications fraud will be solved nationwide

On the 8th, it was learned from a press conference by the Ministry of Public Security that by 2025, public security organs across the country will crack down on telecommunications and network fraud crimes in accordance with the law, effectively curbing the high incidence of crime. A total of 258000 related cases have been solved, and 3.6 billion fraudulent phone calls and 3.3 billion text messages have been intercepted in conjunction with relevant departments. Urgently, 21.707 million yuan of fraudulent funds have been stopped. Public security organs across the country have met to dissuade 6.747 million people. According to Zhang Ming, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security, in 2025, the Ministry of Public Security will deploy special operations such as "cutting off the flow", "removing the nail", and "cutting off the chain", and have arrested 542 behind the scenes "financiers", leaders, and backbone members of fraud groups. Recently, the public security organs have publicly wanted 100 fugitives and key members of telecommunications network fraud crimes, demonstrating their determination and attitude to crack down on telecommunications network fraud crimes in accordance with the law. The Ministry of Public Security is accelerating the construction of the International Alliance to Combat Telecommunications Network Fraud, and promoting the establishment of a new global pattern of mutual coordination and universal participation in the fight against and governance of telecommunications network fraud crimes. Multiple work teams have been sent to Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries to carry out law enforcement cooperation and dismantle a large number of overseas fraud dens. In view of the current serious situation of China related telecommunications network fraud in Myawady, Myanmar, a tripartite coordination mechanism has been established with Myanmar and Thailand. At present, more than 7600 Chinese suspect involved in telecommunications fraud in Myawady have been escorted home. (New Society)
