On January 10, 2026, the Liuzhou Wuzhou Railway entered the stage of laying tracks for the entire line. In the Wuzhou section of Guangxi, workers are working hard to achieve the goal of opening to traffic by the end of this year. The main line of Liuzhou Wuzhou Railway is 238.167 kilometers long and is a national railway level I, double track electrified, passenger and freight mixed railway with a designed speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The line connects Liuzhou, Laibin, Guigang, and Wuzhou cities, with a total of 10 stations. After the completion and opening of the project, it will further improve the regional railway transportation network, smooth the transportation corridor connecting the central and eastern regions of Guangxi to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and have important significance for promoting resource development, industrial upgrading, and regional coordinated development along the route.
