The World Economic Forum released its latest report on the 19th, selecting a new batch of "AI Application Stars" with high global influence. The first batch of names has been announced during the 2025 Summer Davos Forum. Two batches combined, nearly half of the cases come from China. This report, titled 'Actions speak louder than words: Insights into the 2025' AI Application Star 'Practice,' was jointly released by the World Economic Forum and management and information consulting firm Accenture. An independent evaluation committee composed of corporate executives and industry experts analyzed hundreds of cases from over 20 industries, including healthcare, energy, and infrastructure, from more than 30 countries and regions, and selected the "AI Application Star" to showcase high impact real AI application cases, namely "meaningful, intelligent, novel, and deployable solutions". The newly selected "AI Application Stars" include 20 areas that actively apply high impact AI solutions in disease detection, energy optimization, and supply chain resilience. Stephen Morgentler, Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer of the World Economic Forum, said that AI has extraordinary potential, but many organizations are still confused about how to unleash this potential. These selected cases showcase the extraordinary landscape that arises after the ambitious implementation. (New Society)
