On January 30th, the first batch of humanitarian aid from the Chinese government arrived in Thailand and a handover ceremony was held at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei attended the handover ceremony, and Thai Defense Minister Natapong received the handover on behalf of Prime Minister Anutin. The first batch of humanitarian aid from the Chinese government to Thailand has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand. Zhang Jianwei, from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, stated that the Chinese government has provided 20 million yuan in humanitarian aid to Thai citizens affected by the Thai Cambodian border conflict. The supplies that arrived in Bangkok today by chartered flight from Shanghai mainly include clothing, food, and other urgently needed items for the Thai side. These supplies carry the special friendship of the "China Thailand family" and are believed to help Thai border residents alleviate their urgent needs and restore normal life as soon as possible. The Chinese side expects Thailand and Cambodia to implement the consensus of the Fuxian Summit, consolidate a sustained ceasefire, and resolve disputes through friendly consultations. The Chinese side is willing to continue to play a constructive role. Natapong expressed gratitude to the Chinese government and people for their generous assistance, which reflects the profound friendship between Thailand and China where blood is thicker than water. The Thai side highly appreciates the positive and constructive role played by China in mediating the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, and is willing to work with Cambodia to implement existing consensus and maintain peace and stability in the border and region.
