The Western Australia Bashu Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival was held on the 1st at the Western Australian Museum in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, attracting many local residents to visit and experience, with a lively atmosphere on site. This activity focused on the display of Paper Cuttings, shadow play, calligraphy and other Chinese intangible cultural heritage projects, and set up interactive experience links, so that the audience can feel the unique charm of traditional skills at close range. As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches, the event has also designed experiential projects with Chinese cultural characteristics such as "Tuo Fu", ethnic dance, ethnic snack stalls, and cuju, which have been well received by the audience. Chinese Consul General in Perth, Fu Lihua, said in her speech at the event that this event brought Sichuan opera, pandas, hotpot, Sanxingdui and other Ba Shu cultures to Perth, bringing rich and colorful cultural experiences to local residents. The organizer of the event, Ma Cong, the president of the Western Australian Sichuan Chongqing Association, introduced that in order to let more local residents understand Chinese culture, the organizer started communicating and planning with local museums six months in advance. Alec Coles, CEO of the Museum of Western Australia, said that museums are not only spaces for showcasing history and culture, but also play a role in promoting social understanding. Carrying out relevant activities through the local Chinese community as a link can help enhance mutual recognition and understanding among different groups. Perth Mayor Bruce Reynolds also experienced rubbings at the event site. He stated in an interview that the New Year is an important holiday for China and looks forward to participating in more celebration activities related to the Chinese New Year. As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches, local celebrations are constantly heating up.
