The Lunar New Year is approaching, and the Macau SAR government is preparing diverse New Year activities to attract visitors and welcome the new year. The Macao SAR Government Tourism Office held a press conference on the 3rd to introduce relevant information. It is reported that Macau will continue to present large-scale New Year celebrations this year, based on the "Happy Spring Festival" brand for cultural exchange created by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. These celebrations include the Golden Dragon Community Tour, float performances, and innovative drone fireworks displays. Among them, the "Happy Spring Festival -2026 Dragon Soaring Dance to Celebrate the New Year" community tour will bring a golden dragon tour and designated community performances on February 17th and 18th. Lucky dolls and the Macau tourism mascot "Mai Mai" will join the performance team to visit different communities in Macau and deliver unique performances, adding to the festive atmosphere of the community and leading tourists to explore the area. Wen Qihua, Director of the Tourism Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, said that by accumulating experience and introducing new elements through holding large-scale brand activities, Macao this year tried to improve quality and upgrade from multiple dimensions such as performance experience, integration of technology and art, and extension of festival atmosphere, further enriching the connotation of "tourism+" and night charm, and promoting the diversified development of Macao's comprehensive tourism and leisure industry.
