The exhibition "Asking for Eternity - Exploration and Excavation of Pompeii" opened at the National Museum of China

On February 3rd, the exhibition "Asking for Eternity - Exploration and Excavation of Pompeii" jointly launched by the National Museum of China and the Trecani Encyclopedia Research Institute in Italy opened at the National Museum of China in Beijing. The exhibition reviews the nearly 300 year archaeological history of Pompeii since its first excavation in 1748, bringing together 105 sets of cultural relics and 3 immersive exhibits from the Naples National Archaeological Museum and Pompeii Archaeological Park in Italy. It transforms cutting-edge academic achievements into tangible visual language, restoring Pompeii's historical landscape and daily life as an important city of the Roman Empire from a new perspective, revealing its important position in the Roman Empire and its extensive connections with the Mediterranean region.
