The new archaeological achievements of China in 2025 were released at the Archaeology Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences held in Beijing on the 4th, and six site projects from four provinces and regions including Hebei, Xinjiang, Henan, and Shandong were selected. These six site projects are: Xinmiaozhuang Paleolithic Site in Yangyuan County, Hebei Province, Peiligang Stone Age Site in Xinzheng City, Henan Province, Hongshan Culture Site in Zhengjiagou, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, Husta Bronze Age Site in Wenquan County, Xinjiang, Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties Site in Langyatai, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, and Badamu Eastern Jin and Tang Dynasty Tomb Group in Turpan City, Xinjiang. The shortlisted projects and important research achievements of Chinese archaeology in 2025 will also be released at the same time. Among them, the 7 shortlisted projects are the Jizhi Late Paleolithic Site Group in Fusui County, Guangxi, the Doushan Neolithic Site in Wuxi, Jiangsu, the Niulu Chongcheng Late Neolithic to Shang Site in Gongcheng County, Guangxi, the Zhongcun Xia Shang Site in Xiyang County, Shanxi, the Yueguo Capital Site in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang, the Zhengpingfang Site in Luoyang City, Henan, and the Dongta Temple Site in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang. The 10 important research achievements include: Dai Xiangming's "What is the Central Plains - A New Understanding of the Central Plains Cultural Region from the Neolithic to Bronze Age", Zhang Xu's "From Aggregation to Fusion: Population Interaction in the Central and Southern Regions of Inner Mongolia during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty", Zhang Chi's "Who Planned and Built Lingjiatan", Fu Qiaomei et al.'s "Yunnan Paleogenomic Research Reveals the Genetic Origins of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the South Asian Language Family", Li Haichao's "Sanxingdui: The Rise of Civilization from the Resource Interaction Network", Zhang Changping's "On the Stages of Early Bronze Ware in the Erligang Culture", Zhu Fenghan's "The Evolution of Bronze Culture during the Shang and Zhou Dynasties", Liu Dawei's "Interdisciplinary Study of Tang Dynasty Zhajing Dyeing Fabric Excavated in Dulan", and Tong Tao's "Research on the Stone Carvings of Kunlun Mountain for Medicinal Harvesting in Qin Dynasty" and Gao Xing et al. "Wooden Tools Discovered 300000 Years Ago at Gantangjing Site in Southwest China". (New Society)
