The reporter learned from the Macau SAR Public Security Police that on February 7, 2026, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers in Macau reached 867000, setting a new record for the highest daily volume. This is a new record high in just over a month, after reaching 866000 people on January 1st this year. According to statistics, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at the Guanzha Port is nearly 463000, setting a record for the highest daily volume in the port in five years. Among the total passenger flow, Macau residents accounted for 36.7%, visitors accounted for 39.1%, and non local employees accounted for 21.6%. The number of visitors to Macau on that day reached 174000. The Macao SAR Public Security Police Bureau stated that the Spring Festival holiday is approaching, and it is expected that the flow of inbound and outbound passengers at various ports in Macao will continue to operate at a high level. The bureau will rely on data analysis and collaborate with Zhuhai Border Inspection Station and Macau Customs in advance to timely open inspection channels and lanes, divert the flow of people and vehicles at the port, and achieve early peak shaving and pressure relief. In addition, the Macao SAR Public Security Police will maintain close contact with the Macao Transport Bureau, dynamically adjust bus schedules based on real-time traffic conditions at ports and scenic spots, and make every effort to ensure smooth travel for citizens and tourists. At the same time, we will continue to crack down on all types of illegal activities, increase personnel to strengthen on-site order maintenance and safety prevention at ports and tourist areas, maintain public security and stability under high passenger flow, and ensure safe, orderly, and smooth traffic. The Macao Special Administrative Region Public Security Police reminds citizens, tourists, and drivers to closely monitor the real-time clearance status released by Macao TV, radio, and mobile applications, and to check the real-time clearance status of each port through the "Real time Information Platform for Exit Entry Affairs Stations". They should choose their departure port and time reasonably, and travel through staggered clearance. (New Society)
