The "Three Year Action Plan for the Revitalization of Drama (2026-2028)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") provides solid support and action guidelines for the high-quality development of the drama industry, which is inspiring. When I first entered the screenwriting industry, I was full of enthusiasm but also often felt distressed. I was worried about whether my wild imagination could be accepted, but I was not satisfied with the writing inertia of sticking to conventions. The Plan emphasizes "encouraging creators to fully exert their subjective initiative and mobilize their life accumulation", expressing our heartfelt wishes. Script creation is not an isolated self burst, it requires creators to constantly accumulate and settle. After 19 years of working as a professional drama screenwriter, I have come to understand that without inspiration falling from the sky, life accumulation is the source of vitality. The script, as the source of theatrical production, is the foundation of the entire stage art. The Plan emphasizes the establishment of a sound script argumentation mechanism, highlighting the core logic of "script first". I have participated in hundreds of script review meetings, and every time a script is handed over to an expert, it is treated with caution. Their scrutiny goes beyond the theme and character arc at the pan literary level, but also takes into account the essence of the stage, repeatedly deducing the presentation form of the text when it lands, predicting the possibility of scene scheduling, emotional transmission, and audience resonance. These solid and effective arguments allow us to break out of the single perspective of personal creation - drama is not a solitary text writing, nor is it the work of one person. It will eventually move towards the stage and connect with the audience. The birth of excellent works is never dependent on "luck" or "chance", and the emergence of unqualified works can also be predicted and avoided. The "Plan" proposes to explore the establishment of a criticism and accountability mechanism for low-quality, inefficient, and resource wasting creative behavior, and requires practitioners to always have a sense of awe and eliminate shoddy production from the source. Establishing a full process creative guidance mechanism is not only beneficial for controlling the quality of plays, but also for mobilizing the enthusiasm of multiple parties to work together. Creating a script collection and promotion platform provides a window for screenwriters to showcase their works, allowing excellent scripts to break through geographical and industry limitations and accurately meet the needs of theater troupes. At the same time, it also broadens the channels for script selection for the theater troupe, allowing for a wider absorption of high-quality resources. Creation is a 'dialogue' - a profound dialogue with oneself, with others, with life, and with the times. The various measures in the 'Plan' not only provide norms and guarantees at the industry level, but also provide action guidelines for individual creativity.
