Research estimates that single family offices in Hong Kong directly employ over 10000 full-time professionals locally, generating approximately HKD 12.6 billion in annual revenue for the Hong Kong economy from operating expenses. If we take into account the joint family office and other institutions that provide services to the family office, it is expected that the actual economic benefits will be more substantial. The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Xu Zhengyu, stated that the continuous increase in the number of family offices reflects the substantial achievements made by the SAR government in policy promotion and institutional construction. Under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, Hong Kong, with its advantage of being backed by the motherland and connected to the world, has brought a favorable development environment for family offices that combines predictability and high growth potential.
