The People's Bank of China will issue RMB 50 billion central bank notes in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced on the 13th that the People's Bank of China will issue RMB central bank notes through the HKMA's Central Depository and Clearing System for Debt Instruments, which are divided into three-month and one-year terms. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority introduced that the 3-month RMB central bank notes with a total value of 30 billion yuan will mature and pay interest on May 29, 2026. The maturity date of 1-year RMB central bank bills with a total value of RMB 20 billion is February 27, 2027, and interest will be paid on August 27, 2026 and February 27, 2027 respectively. These two series of central bank bills will be tendered on February 25, 2026 and settled on February 27. (New Society)
