The Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 13th that the total number of visitors to Hong Kong in 2025 is about 49.89 million, an increase of about 12% compared to 2024. Among them, the number of mainland visitors entering the country was about 37.83 million, an increase of about 11% compared to 2024, and the number of other visitors entering the country was about 12.06 million, an increase of about 15% compared to 2024. It is reported that the total number of people entering and leaving Hong Kong in 2025 will be about 335 million, an increase of about 12% compared to 2024, setting a new record high. Among the total number of inbound visitors to Hong Kong throughout the year, there were approximately 11.22 million visitors at airport control points, 36.87 million visitors at land control points, and 1.81 million visitors at sea control points. To further improve the clearance efficiency of control points, the Immigration Department continues to expand e-Channel services, allowing more Hong Kong residents and visitors to enjoy convenient self-service immigration inspection services.
