On March 26th, the construction of the 500 kV GIL (Gas Insulated Transmission Line) pipe gallery project in Wuhu City, Anhui Province began, creating favorable conditions for the Gansu Zhejiang ± 800 kV high-voltage direct current transmission project to cross the Yangtze River. The Gansu Zhejiang ± 800 kV HVDC transmission project is a key project in the national "14th Five Year Plan" for power development. The total length of the line is 2370 kilometers, and after completion, it can transmit approximately 36 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually. (New Society)
