In this new recruit transportation work, the proportion of high-speed rail transportation has exceeded 90% for the first time, with over 80% of new recruits arriving at the military camp within 24 hours. In the past, the transportation of new recruits in our army was mainly carried out by conventional speed passenger trains, with cross regional transportation taking 3 to 5 days. In recent years, with the gradual improvement of the national high-speed railway network, high-speed rail participation in the transportation of new recruits has gradually become the norm. Since the start of the new recruit transportation work this spring, more than 400 railway passenger stations across the country have been synchronized and linked, with the Fuxing and Harmony high-speed trains as the main force for new recruit transportation. Except for a few remote and special areas, the new recruit transportation has basically achieved full coverage of high-speed rail. The head of the relevant department of the Joint Logistics Support Force introduced that in order to ensure high-quality and efficient transportation of new recruits, this year the military and civilian sides have established an integrated support mechanism of "joint dispatch, real-time coordination, and full process controllability". Data shows that in the transportation of new recruits in the spring of this year, the rate of direct transit without transfer has increased by 45% compared to 2020, and the average waiting time for transfer has been further compressed.
