On April 1st, the fifth "Tiangong Art Exhibition" kicked off on the Chinese space station. The crew of Shenzhou-21 astronauts, who were on a "business trip" in space, transformed into "space guides" and conducted in orbit exhibitions and introductions. As a space themed cultural brand widely participated by young people nationwide and built on the "window" of the Chinese space station, the "Tiangong Art Exhibition" has been successfully held for five sessions and has generated a good response in society, especially among young people. The 5th "Heavenly Palace Art Exhibition" with the theme of "Pioneering Role Models in My Heart" was launched in July 2025 for collection. Out of over 15000 registered works, 80 exhibited paintings were selected from the hands of young people from 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) as well as Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions. On October 31st last year, the painting flew with the Shenzhou-21 manned spacecraft to the Chinese space station. In addition to the exhibition on the Chinese Space Station, this exhibition also held a ground exhibition at the Capital Museum, open to the public, allowing more young people to experience space culture and the power of role models up close. On the afternoon of April 1st, the theme activity of "Heaven and Earth Painting Together, Leading by Role Models" of the 5th Tiangong Art Exhibition was officially launched at the Capital Museum. Representatives of pioneers and role models from the fields of aerospace, high-speed rail, and firefighting have face-to-face exchanges with youth representatives, sharing their stories of struggle and encouraging them to hold onto their dreams and move forward courageously. This offline exhibition showcases the works of the first to fifth "Tiangong Art Exhibition" displayed on the Chinese Space Station, marking the first concentrated appearance of the achievements of the five exhibitions. This offline exhibition will last until May 24, 2026. This event is guided by the Office of the National Youth Work Committee and the News and Propaganda Office of the China Manned Space Engineering, hosted by the China Aerospace Foundation, and organized by the Capital Museum and the 208 Institute of the China Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology.
