The profitability of the cultural industry is steadily improving. In 2025, China's cultural industry will achieve a total profit of 1903.4 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% over the previous year. The profit margin of cultural industry operating income is 9.1%; The per capita operating income and total per capita profit were 963000 yuan and 88000 yuan, respectively, an increase of 94000 yuan and 7000 yuan from the previous year.
The cultural new industry plays a leading role. In 2025, the 16 sub industries with obvious characteristics of new cultural formats will achieve a revenue of 766.51 billion yuan, an increase of 15.1% over the previous year, which is 6.3 percentage points faster than the overall cultural industry.
In addition, research and development investment in the cultural industry has grown rapidly. In 2025, cultural enterprises above designated size will invest 182 billion yuan in research and experimental development (R&D), an increase of 12.1% over the previous year.
