According to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the commission recently held its 17th high-level enforcement cooperation meeting with the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in Hong Kong to further strengthen enforcement cooperation.
Both sides exchanged views on the key points of law enforcement work and discussed how to further strengthen cooperation, enhance the effectiveness of cracking down on cross-border illegal and irregular behaviors, in order to protect the interests of investors and maintain market order. At the meeting, both sides had in-depth discussions on multiple important issues related to cross-border law enforcement cooperation, including sharing recent law enforcement experiences in major cross-border cases and exploring how to further strengthen information sharing.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission stated that in the next step, it will continue to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, the National Financial System Work Conference, and the deployment of the new "National Nine Articles". In accordance with the requirements of risk prevention, strong supervision, and promoting high-quality development, it will work together with the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission to continuously improve the cross-border law enforcement cooperation mechanism, strictly crack down on various cross-border illegal and irregular behaviors in accordance with the law, and jointly maintain the stable and healthy development of the capital market.
Dai Lin, Executive Director of the Regulatory Enforcement Department of the Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission, expressed gratitude to the China Securities Regulatory Commission for its long-term support of the commission's enforcement work. He emphasized that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in enforcement cooperation and information sharing, which will enhance enforcement effectiveness and deterrence, and promote the stable and orderly development of the financial market.
