The mandatory national standard "Safety Requirements for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Combined Driving Assistance Systems" (GB 47955-2026) organized and managed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently been approved and released by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration, and is scheduled to be officially implemented from January 1, 2027.
It is reported that the standard proposes a safety indicator system that requires clarity, comprehensiveness, and adaptability to national conditions. One is to fully consider different product forms and technical routes, and propose applicable safety requirements for three types of combined driving assistance system products, including basic single lane, basic multi lane, and navigation driving assistance. The second is to propose baseline requirements for ensuring the safe operation of combined driving assistance systems from dimensions such as functional requirements, data recording, and vehicle manufacturer safety assurance. The third is to propose requirements for human-computer interaction, user instructions, user training, etc., providing a basic guarantee for the correct cooperation between users and the system. Fourthly, based on the actual needs of industry management in China, a multi-level evaluation method has been established, including site testing, road testing, document inspection, etc., to comprehensively assess the safety capabilities of the system.
