2026-07-14

The Macau Digital Performing Arts Management and International Communication Talent Training Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Project") opened on the 13th at the City University of Macau, empowering the construction of Macau as the "Capital of Performing Arts" through talent cultivation.
It is reported that the project is supported by the National Arts Fund's 2026 art talent training funding, focusing on the two core areas of "digital performing arts management" and "international exchange and communication". It deeply integrates cutting-edge courses such as big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and digital performing arts technology, and constructs a characteristic training framework of "technology empowering performing arts management".
During the opening ceremony, Liu Jun, President of the City University of Macau, stated that digital technologies represented by artificial intelligence, big data, and embodied intelligence are rapidly reconstructing the performing arts at an unprecedented speed. This project is a precise response to the national "15th Five Year Plan" to "promote cultural construction, digital empowerment, and information transformation", as well as specific measures for the moderate diversified development of the Macau economy and the construction of the "Performing Arts Capital".
According to the project course schedule, students will jointly participate in the entire production process of the original digital musical in Macau. During the centralized training period, students complete the development of play concepts and staged presentations, while the online stage will continue to promote creativity, ultimately achieving dual line performances in theater and online live streaming.
Renowned director Zhang Yimou sent a message online on the same day to the students participating in the project. He stated that digital technology is changing the stage at an unprecedented speed, breaking traditional boundaries and bringing infinite possibilities to the performing arts. The future stage belongs to young people who dare to think, do, and innovate. We look forward to everyone achieving success in their studies and letting the world see the power of Chinese digital entertainment.
