In practice, China has carried out extensive international AI cooperation with all countries across the globe, jointly seizing opportunities brought by digitalization, networking and intelligent transformation. It strengthens alignment and coordination on development strategies, governance rules and technical standards to boost the sound and vigorous growth of intelligent industries and ensure AI achievements deliver greater benefits to people of all nations.
“Artificial intelligence bears great significance for future development and should work to benefit people of all countries and regions.” Bearing the wellbeing of all humanity in mind, President Xi Jinping has profoundly grasped the trends and laws governing AI development, adopted a problem-oriented approach, and delivered a series of important statements on global AI development and governance, continuously contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions. Under President Xi Jinping’s guidance, China took the lead in releasing the Global AI Governance Initiative, establishing a governance orientation of AI for good, safety and controllability, as well as inclusiveness and equity.
