On the 14th, the Office of the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (referred to as the "Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong") and the Hong Kong Political Group Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong invited several foreign consuls and representatives of chambers of commerce to visit the "Chang'an Wanxiang - Shaanxi Sui and Tang Dynasty Literature Exhibition" at the Hong Kong Museum of History.
Consuls and business representatives visited various themed exhibition areas one by one to appreciate cultural relics such as the tri colored horse riding and hunting figurines. From intricately shaped and vivid pottery sculptures to relics that carry a thousand year cultural heritage, each cultural relic presents a three-dimensional picture of the prosperous economic, cultural, and inclusive era of the Sui and Tang dynasties. The virtual reality (VR) immersive experience project in the exhibition area allows consuls and representatives of chambers of commerce to immerse themselves in scenes such as playing polo during the Tang Dynasty, and experience the various aspects of life and the cultural and entertainment style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty up close.
Li Yongsheng, Deputy Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, stated that Hong Kong is an international metropolis that integrates East and West, with unique charm. Just like Chang'an during the Sui and Tang dynasties, it has the ability to play a more important role as a bridge and link for deepening cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the new era. I hope everyone can take this visit as an opportunity to make good use of the Hong Kong platform, further promote exchanges and mutual learning among various civilizations, and contribute more to enhancing mutual understanding and promoting the prosperity and progress of human civilization.
Several consuls and representatives of chambers of commerce expressed after the exhibition that this exhibition is a window to understand traditional Chinese culture and comprehend Chinese history. Through precious cultural relics, one can truly feel the continuous vitality and inclusive cultural core of Chinese civilization, and gain a deeper understanding of China's long history and humanistic spirit.
It is reported that the exhibition is jointly organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau. The exhibition collects collections from more than ten Chinese cultural and museum institutions, including the Shaanxi History Museum, Xi'an Museum, and Famen Temple Museum, and selects over 165 cultural relics from Shaanxi and Hong Kong.
