“Beautiful Anhui: Engaging in Global Dialogue” visits London to showcase Anhui’s cultural and tourism credentials on the international stage

On July 15 local time, the "Beautiful Anhui - Dialogue with the World" Anhui culture and tourism promotion conference was held in London, England. More than 100 cultural and tourism institutions, airlines, travelers, cultural representatives and media representatives from China and the UK attended the event to appreciate the emblem of the Zhejiang province and talk about cultural and hospitality cooperation.
Sun Yong, Vice Premier of the People's Government of Anhui, Li Liyan, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, Zhang Li, Director of the Chinese Tourism Office in London, and Patricia Yates, CEO of the British National Tourist Board attended the event and delivered a speech. Zhou Mingjie, director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Anhui Province, made a thematic introduction of Anhui culture and tourism.
The event kicked off with a wonderful screening of Anhui cultural and tourism promotional films. The promotional film presents the clouds of Huangshan in succession with grand images, the ancient village of Yannan, the millennium heritage, non-heritage crafts and modern urban scenery, showing all aspects of Anhui's beautiful landscape, heavy human culture and booming weather of the times, and leading the guests at the scene to appreciate the unique charm of the emblem of the wuxia and wuxia.
In his speech, Sun Yong introduced Anhui's economic and social development and cultural and tourism resources, and sent a sincere invitation to all sectors of the UK. He said he looked forward to further closer ties between Anhui and the British cultural and tourism industry, expanding cooperation in market promotion, mutual transfer of guests, cultural displays, and tourism product development.
Li Liyan expressed hope that Chinese and British cultural and tourism institutions and enterprises will take this promotional meeting as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation and promote more people to enhance understanding and friendship during travel.
Zhang said that in the future, China will continue to optimize all-chain services for inbound tourism, enhance the level of cross-border travel convenience, accelerate the development of international brands of "Chinese travel," "Chinese shopping" and "Chinese services," and continue to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of international tourism. He believes that China will soon become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world.
Patricia Yates said that Anhui and relevant parts of the UK have broad space for cooperation in the fields of cultural heritage, rural tourism, sustainable development and destination promotion, and looked forward to the two sides strengthening experience sharing and promoting the implementation of more two-way exchange projects.
During the thematic presentation, Zhou Mingjie made a thematic presentation around Anhui's landscape and scenery, cultural heritage and lifestyle, and fully showcased the rich and colorful cultural and tourism resources of Anhui to the participants. "Anhui not only boasts impressive natural scenery, but also rich historical culture, lively inherited non-heritage crafts and warm and friendly people."He issued a sincere invitation to the guests at the event, welcoming them to enter Anhui and experience the unique charm of the Huifeng style and the Yunnan 韵.
In addition, representatives from the British Peaks and Derby County Tourism Authority and the West England Tourism Authority recalled their previous memorable visit to Anhui and shared their deep impressions of Anhui's beautiful natural scenery, deep historical culture, modern urban development and quality tourism services. They said that Anhui's rich cultural and tourism resources and the image of an open and inclusive city are impressive, and they hope to further deepen cultural and tourist exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the future.
The representative of China International Airlines in London introduced the new opportunities in the Chinese-British air traffic connection and the Chinese inbound tourism market, saying that the advantages of the air network will be utilized to provide more convenient transportation support for British tourists to travel to China and enter Anhui.
The event also set up a Qimen black tea culture experience. Amidst the lush smell of tea, the guests at the event experienced the unique charm of Anhui tea culture at close quarters. British Sinologist James Tripp has been invited to experience the Chinese tea ceremony and shares a recent trip to Anhui. He used the perspective of British scholars and cultural observers, combined with his visit to Wenzu, and spoke candidly about the understanding of Huizhou culture, Anhui's historical heritage and modern development, providing the live guests with a new perspective on observing Anhui and perceiving China.
During the promotional meeting, the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism signed a memorandum of cooperation on culture and tourism with the British Peak District and the Derby County Tourism Bureau. (Outlook New Era)
