The total exhibition area of mainland publishing units at this book fair is 544 square meters, with the core positioning of "boutique display, cultural mutual learning, and industrial cooperation". Participating units include publishing groups, local publishing houses, academic societies of universities, and distribution institutions, showcasing a wide variety of books. The exhibition area adopts a combination model of "one themed provincial exhibition area+three characteristic exhibition areas" to comprehensively showcase the high-quality development achievements of mainland publishing in the new era.
This year's book fair has set Yunnan as the theme province for the mainland exhibition area, with the core theme of "Drinking the same river and reading ten thousand books together". This year coincides with the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March. The mainland exhibition area displays a number of party history, long march documentary, revolutionary literature books, leading readers to look back on the century long struggle and feel the spirit of the great Long March.
This year's Hong Kong Book Fair will last until the 21st and feature a series of lectures on 8 different themes. The "Famous Writers Lecture Series" will invite Su Tong, Liu Zhenyun, Bi Feiyu and others to participate in sharing.
