The fourth Youth Olympic Games will open on October 31st in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, marking the first time the Youth Olympic flame has been lit on the African continent. Coinciding with the biennial meeting of the "China Africa Cultural Exchange Year" and the "Youth Olympic Year" in Dakar, the spirit of China Africa friendly cooperation is vividly interpreted in the hospitable country of "Tranga".

Sincerity, friendship, equality, and respect are the unchanging colors of the relationship between the two countries. China and Senegal are separated by a vast ocean, but their traditional friendship has withstood the test of wind and rain.     China and Serbia join hands to practice true multilateralism and closely cooperate in multilateral cooperation, which is conducive to jointly safeguarding international fairness and justice and the common interests of developing countries.

The common vision of the two countries' relationship is to achieve win-win cooperation and face the future. Senegal is the first West African country to sign the "the Belt and Road" cooperation document, and China Serbia cooperation in infrastructure, new energy, smart transportation and other fields is in the ascendant. The Sangor Stadium, Black Civilization Museum, National Centre for the Performing Arts, and a series of Sino Serbian cooperation projects located in Dakar have become monuments of Sino Serbian friendship passed down orally by the local people. In 2025, China and Senegal signed the Framework Agreement for a Common Development Economic Partnership. With the implementation of China's non-zero tariff measures in Senegal, high-quality and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation will be further expanded. Strengthening the alignment between the 15th Five Year Plan and Senegal's 2050 Vision will bring broader opportunities for jointly promoting modernization in China and Africa.

Mutual understanding and mutual assistance are the solid foundation of the relationship between the two countries. Since 1971, China has sent 21 batches of medical teams to Senegal, providing medical services to over 3.5 million patients in the area. Under the framework of the "Ten Partnership Actions" of the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the Sharing Foundation carried out vision restoration operations for more than 3000 cataract patients in Senegal. The Chinese Navy's "Lucky Ark" hospital ship recently made its first visit to Senegal, providing diagnosis and treatment services for over 6000 patients. The exchange between the two countries in education, culture, youth, sports and other fields continues to deepen, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Dakar has become an increasingly active "China's home". Chinese martial arts are not only deeply loved by local people, but also serve as a medium for local youth to cultivate confidence, respect, and humanistic spirit.

The Youth Olympic Games is a platform for young people around the world to exchange, learn, and spread friendship. Since the successful bid for the Dakar Youth Olympic Games, China has actively supported the organizers. It is worth mentioning that this year's Youth Olympic Games has established a martial arts competition, which is the first time that martial arts has appeared as an official event in the Youth Olympic Games, and also the first time that martial arts has become an official competition event in the Olympic series, becoming a vivid epitome of cultural exchange and people to people connection between China and Africa.

The civilizations of China, Senegal, and Central Africa, each with their own beauty and shared beauty, have become models for different civilizations to overcome barriers through communication and confrontation through tolerance. Taking the Dakar Youth Olympic Games as an opportunity, China and Serbia will continue to anchor important consensus between the leaders of the two countries, continuously deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership, and create a new chapter in building a high-level China Serbia community with a shared future.
