Recently, the 6th Baiwangshan Conference on Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents with Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine released the group standards of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, namely the "Guidelines for Integrated Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents with Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" and the "Guidelines for the Management of Eye Health Behaviors in Children and Adolescents", marking the further improvement of the traditional Chinese medicine myopia prevention and control standard system. Chen Junfeng, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, stated that "the standardization of traditional Chinese medicine is increasingly playing a leading and supporting role in the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine." The "Guidelines for the Integrated Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents with Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" is the implementation of the "Comprehensive Correction Plan for the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" in the "Bright Action Plan for Myopia Prevention and Control in Children and Adolescents" issued by the Ministry of Education and 15 other departments in 2021. As one of the important achievements of the "14th Five Year Plan" key research and development plan "unveiling the list and leading the way" project, it marks the deep integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine in the field of myopia prevention and control in China, officially entering a new era of "prevention and control integration, technological simplification, service accessibility, and comprehensive prevention and control". Stage. Professor Kang Zefeng, the standard leader and director of the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Center for the Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents, introduced that the "Guidelines for the Integrated Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine" are based on the principles of evidence-based medicine, combined with clinical research evidence and expert experience, and have constructed a "screening prevention treatment" prevention and control strategy covering the entire process of myopia occurrence and development from the perspective of public health. Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory, by optimizing the combination of Chinese and Western medicine technology and standardizing clinical pathways, the effectiveness of myopia prevention and control has been comprehensively improved, providing the government and the public with an operable, promotable, effective, and implementable integrated plan for the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents, reducing the incidence, progression, and blindness rates of myopia. The "Guidelines for the Management of Eye Health Behaviors in Children and Adolescents" proposes a scenario based health management model from the perspective of behavioral intervention, and constructs a scientific and practical plan for the management of eye health behaviors in children and adolescents. Through scene intervention and other strategic suggestions, help children establish scientific eye habits and healthy lifestyles, and comprehensively improve the overall eye health level of the whole population. The release of two group standards marks the further improvement of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of myopia in adolescents. It not only provides practical guidance for parents and educators, but also provides strong support for all sectors of society to participate in the management of children's and adolescents' eye health behaviors.
