The relevant research results were published in the latest issue of the journal Nature Electronics. The gastrointestinal tract is not only a digestive organ, but also a barometer of human health. This magical system not only secretes hormones and neurotransmitters that affect brain function, but also contains a large number of biomarkers that reflect health conditions - from short chain fatty acids related to metabolic syndrome to cytokines involved in inflammatory responses. However, traditional detection methods such as fecal analysis or tissue biopsy are difficult to achieve real-time monitoring of the entire digestive tract. The PillTrek smart capsule integrates three major innovations: low-power electronic technology, integrated high-sensitivity sensor array, and intelligent wireless transmission system.
