To promote the sustainable development of elderly meal assistance services, the central government has invested 300 million yuan in special guidance funds this year to support meal assistance services. It is reported that in order to further unleash the potential of silver hair consumption and accelerate the development of the silver hair economy, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce will hold a national "Elderly Care Service Consumption Season" event from July to December, further promoting elderly care service consumption, improving the quality of life of the elderly, and promoting the coordinated development of the elderly care industry. The Ministry of Civil Affairs recently issued the "Emergency Plan for Sudden Incidents in Elderly Care Institutions", which clarifies the overall requirements for responding to emergencies in elderly care institutions, event classification and grading, emergency management system, disposal and rescue, aftermath disposal and investigation and evaluation, emergency support, publicity and education, and training exercises. In the face of the flood situation, the Ministry of Civil Affairs will also guide local civil affairs departments to strengthen their duty watch, maintain high vigilance against possible disasters, report the situation in a timely manner in accordance with laws and regulations, activate emergency plans in the first time, strengthen coordination and cooperation with relevant departments, prioritize the transfer and proper resettlement of trapped elderly people, especially provide services and guarantees for empty nest and single elderly people, and minimize personnel and property losses to the greatest extent possible.
