The reporter learned from the National Medical Insurance Administration that as of June 30th, 30 provinces and 337 coordinated areas of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have opened medical insurance wallets, realizing cross provincial mutual assistance of medical insurance personal accounts. Medical insurance wallet transfer is a way to achieve mutual assistance between close relatives' medical insurance personal accounts. By using the transfer function of the medical insurance wallet, individuals can transfer funds from their own medical insurance personal account or medical insurance wallet to their close relatives' medical insurance wallet, which can be used for settlement of medical and drug expenses, personal payment of resident medical insurance, etc. In December last year, cross provincial mutual assistance for individual medical insurance accounts across the country was officially launched. In recent times, the expansion of medical insurance wallets has further accelerated, and the convenience of medical treatment for insured persons and their relatives has been further enhanced. Currently, 24 provincial-level medical insurance departments have fully opened medical insurance wallets across the entire region.
