In the afternoon of that day, a sub forum on "The Development of Traditional Medicine through Upholding Integrity and Innovation" was held, and the attendees discussed how traditional medicine can be integrated with digital technology for development. Deng Juan, Director of the Beijing Center for Foreign Exchange and Technical Cooperation of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Vice President of the Beijing Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, stated at a sub forum that Beijing is promoting the integration of artificial intelligence and big data digital technology with traditional Chinese medicine. Relevant policies such as the "Beijing Implementation Plan for 'Data Elements X'", "International Medical Innovation and Quality Development", and "Artificial Intelligence+Medical Health" have all included promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine and accelerating the action plan for artificial intelligence+medical innovation. In addition, Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guang'anmen Hospital and other hospitals in Beijing have continuously strengthened their infrastructure construction, upgraded the computing power and algorithms of smart hospitals, and laid the foundation for the coordinated development of medical education, research and production. Not only that, Beijing has also established the Intelligent Research Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry, which promotes the integration of traditional medicine and digital technology while leveraging the advantages of original Chinese medicine. She also introduced that in deepening the driving role of application scenarios, the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has extensively collected scenario cases through the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Exchange Center, covering intelligent diagnosis and treatment, health management, precision research and development of traditional Chinese medicine, and promoted key typical cases. The "Qizhi" intelligent traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment platform of Guang'anmen Hospital has been selected for the Chinese practice of the World Health Assembly's digital intelligence themed side event. Deng Juan said that up to now, Chinese medicine has spread to more than 190 countries and regions, and Chinese medicine and acupuncture and moxibustion treatment methods have been widely accepted. Traditional Chinese medicine also has enormous market potential. Market research shows that the global market size of traditional Chinese medicine is expected to reach 185.7 billion US dollars by 2028.
