Recently, Hetao College and Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Inner Mongolia Hospital held the "Summer Solstice Northern Xinjiang Mutual Understanding and Similarity" Sino US Youth Inner Mongolia Academic Exchange Camp Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Experience Activity. Representatives from the University of Hawaii in the United States visited Bayannur, Inner Mongolia to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese medicine. The event kicked off with the Eight Section Brocade performance. Zhang Tao, a resident expert in Inner Mongolia and director of the Neurology Department at Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, systematically explained traditional Chinese medicine theoretical knowledge to American teachers and students. Everyone has gained a preliminary understanding of the holistic view and dialectical treatment concept of traditional Chinese medicine. At Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Inner Mongolia Hospital Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Corridor, teachers and students learned about the historical accumulation and characteristic formation of traditional Chinese medicine through graphic and physical displays. In the diagnosis and treatment experience area, traditional techniques such as cupping and scraping have attracted American teachers and students to actively try them out; Non pharmacological therapies such as ear acupressure pills and acupoint patches vividly demonstrate the traditional Chinese medicine concept of "preventing diseases before they occur"; DIY of traditional Chinese medicine sachets, popularization of authentic medicinal materials, and 20 scientific research achievements in traditional Chinese medicine health vividly demonstrate the modernization of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. The traditional Chinese medicine tea substitute and medicine food are the same source of Tonic Diet, which makes teachers and students marvel at the medical wisdom of "medicine food is the same". Ji Xu, a resident expert of Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Inner Mongolia and director of acupuncture and moxibustion and Massage Department, demonstrated acupuncture and moxibustion and fire needle techniques on the spot, and participants experienced the unique effects of acupuncture and moxibustion in Chinese medicine. This event showcased the profoundness of traditional Chinese medicine culture and built a bridge for academic dialogue between Chinese and American youth and mutual learning between Chinese and Western medicine.
